What's New in Cash Book: Releases and Updates

Every release, newest first. This page updates with each version that ships.

Version 4.1.1 — 11 September 2026

The big one: three new ways to log, and a redesign around a single number.

• Log by voice. Tap the coral mic circle at the bottom of Home and say what you spent, one purchase or the whole day. The AI turns it into transactions with amount, merchant, tag and date, ready to edit. Works in any major language.
• Log by snap. Tap the coral camera circle and point at a receipt, or pick a photo or screenshot you already have. Every line gets read into a transaction.
• Apple Pay auto-logging. A one-time Shortcuts automation, set up from Settings → Automation, and every card tap opens Cash Book and logs itself. Needs iOS 17 or later and a card in Wallet.
• New Home. One number, your spending for the period, over a curve, with period pills from one week to all time and the transactions grouped by day underneath. The coral buttons mark the AI paths; the black plus is the keypad.
• Budgets as an allowance. A monthly or weekly figure under the Home hero that reads "left" or "over", plus per-tag budgets with thin progress bars. Red only when you are over.
• Insights that compare months. A month switcher, three stat tiles with the change against last month, where the change came from by tag, and six months of income against expense.
• 26 interface languages, from Arabic to Vietnamese.

Earlier versions

Manual logging with tags, categories, budgets and accounts; CSV and Excel export; Face ID lock; iCloud sync. All of it is still there, underneath the new ways to log.
