Cash Book Support: Get Help from a Real Human
Support is the studio itself, not a call center: slower than a chatbot and considerably more useful. There is no phone line and no automated assistant, just people who know the code.
Contact
Email [email protected] with what happened and, if you can, a screenshot. Replies usually land within a day. You can also reach the same address from inside the app under Settings → Support.
Common fixes
Restore a purchase. Open Settings in Cash Book and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure the iPhone is signed into the same Apple ID that bought the plan; a purchase made under a different Apple ID will not appear.
Voice logging says it heard nothing. Very short or very quiet clips are rejected rather than guessed. Hold the phone a little closer and speak a full phrase, such as "twelve euros lunch at Beshamel". Voice logging also needs an internet connection, since the audio is parsed by an AI model and not on the phone.
The snap could not read a receipt. Better light helps more than anything else. Lay the receipt flat, avoid shadows across the numbers, and make sure the total is in the frame. Faded thermal paper sometimes cannot be read at all; in that case, tap the plus button and add the amount manually. The snap needs a connection too.
Apple Pay auto-logging is not firing. Four things have to be true. Your iPhone runs iOS 17 or later. At least one card is added to Wallet. The automation uses the "Transaction" trigger, which sits at the very bottom of the trigger list under Wallet, not under Apps. And the Cash Book action "Log purchase" is added to the automation, with Amount and Merchant mapped. If Shortcuts shows "contains no actions", the automation was saved before the action was added: open Shortcuts › Automation, tap it, tap "Add Action", search "Cash Book", add "Log purchase", map Amount and Merchant, then Done. The full walkthrough is on the Apple Pay auto-logging page.
iCloud sync is not working. Check that the iPhone is signed into iCloud in the iOS Settings app, and that Cash Book is allowed under iCloud → Apps Using iCloud. Then turn iCloud Sync on in Cash Book's Settings and restart the app. Sync changes need an app restart to take effect.
An amount looks wrong. Any transaction can be edited. Tap it on Home, change the amount, tag, note or date, and save. Totals, budgets and insights recalculate on their own.
Requests and ideas
Feature ideas are welcome and actually read, either by email or from Settings → Feature request in the app. The best ones describe the moment that annoyed you, not the solution; that is usually where the good design hides. Anything that touches your data is covered in the privacy policy, and every release is listed on what's new.
